La Pacific Asia Travel Association, PATA, ha elegido la ciudad de Sevilla para su primer evento profesional y empresarial en Europa. Durante el World Travel Market de Londres, el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla y PATA concretaron que la capital hispalense sería la primera sede europea de la Pacific Asia Travel Association Global Insights Conference, una de las ferias profesionales de turismo más importantes del mundo, que acogerá a multitud de organizaciones internacionales, organismos públicos, aerolíneas y aeropuertos internacionales, organizaciones de hotelería, además de instituciones educativas y operadores turísticos.

The City Council, through Congresses and Tourism of Seville, has tied during the World Travel Market of London, one of the most important professional tourism fairs in the world, the celebration of the European ‘Summit’ of the Asia Pacific Travel Association (Pacific Asia Travel Association, PATA) Between March 3 and 4, 2022 in the Hispanic capital. This is the first time that this entity, which brings together more than 800 international organizations -95 public bodies, 20 airlines and international airports, 102 hotel organizations, some 70 educational institutions and tour operators – organizes an event in Europe.
